Safety film
Safety film on windows and doors reinforces the resistance of the glass in the event of an accident, attempted burglary or vandalism. Trying to force a window or door fitted with safety film is very difficult and the film will hold the glass together and reduce the consequences of a broken glass. This protects materials and possessions that can be destroyed or need to be replaced.
The safety film is available in different thicknesses and safety classes depending on the protection you want. The film is mounted on the inside of the glass and sealed with a special silicone to get the best resistance. There is also safety film that is mounted on the outside of the glass (also called Antigraffiti film) that protects against graffiti, scratches, etc.
Effective protection for all environments
Reinforcement of glass surfaces with safety film results in a safer environment. A broken pane of glass can lead to several days of downtime, e.g. sales and destroyed inventory or goods. If a glass is broken with safety film, the business is minimally affected and in most cases can continue as usual. Glass shards can, for example, have devastating consequences in the food industry.
Accidents happen easily both at home, at work, at school and everywhere there is glass. Damage from glass and broken glass is dangerous and can cause serious or even fatal injuries. The safety film holds the broken glass in place and thus prevents accidents. In the event of a fire, unreinforced glass breaks very easily and then more oxygen is added and worsens the situation. With safety film, the glass withstands more and minimizes fire damage. The safety film is self-extinguishing and has negligible smoke development.
The safety film is available both as transparent and with tinting and consists of polyester (PET) with or without metal. The metal and glue are of such a small amount that the film is classified as flammable plastic.
